Nathan, If you do have a keen interest in birds then please don't let some of the sarcastic and bullish comments I've read in this thread turn you away from this forum. There are plenty of good people on here who are more than happy to help with your queries.

bleeding green,
i don't think anyone on here is being particularly "sarcastic" and definitely not "bullish". there are however, a number of people who are trying to steer nathan into a more realistic and responsible approach to his bird keeping.
far more constructive advice than encouraging someone to engage in wanton collecting and neglect.

Three meters = 9.8425 feet (rounded off).
Three meters squared = 88.59 square feet (rounded off).
I'm not being picky, just happen to be one of those disadvantaged to still be using the archaic inch, feet, yards. ;)

Dont worry Sierra , I still use the old imperial system when I'm quilting ...being that most patterns are American . Bit confusing

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Apparently I'm in the minority, but I think we should "bite the bullet" and change to the metric system. It just makes so much more sense.
I remember when I was in elementary school (@40 years ago) one of my teachers explained the superiority of the metric system, and in frustration opined that we would probably never switch.
