Totally agree with Shox Nathan .

You're lucky to have him helping you with advice so might be in your best interest to heed what he says .

Too much too soon can lead to heart ache not too mention the birds welfare being compromised . :D
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Good onya Nathan, remember slow and steady. You'll be telling us what to do in a few years.

If you concentrate on Grass Finches and stay away from keeping non finches such as parrots, quail and doves in the same aviary, I think your are likley to be much more successful in achieving your long term goal.

i don't have parrots in my avairies as my parrots used to take legs and heads of finches and disrupt breeding of finches so i made parrot avairy

jay every normal tourqouise parrot ive seen lately have been cheaper then scarlets. Aound $80 to $90 a pair compared to up to $160 a pair on scarlets. i think its just the license again that kills there value jay. But yea mutations are still more expensive. Speaking of the purple crowns ive seen lately are all way outta my price range because there all mutations. And all i want is some damn normals anyway.

Ben,
I saw a couple of pairs of normal purple crown lorrikeets at Birdsvill in Sydney.

Thanks Nathan
