Nesting Problem

Just a quick update,harv checked the cane nest today and there is another egg in there so looks like the hen is using thr nest we put in..

Sorry to nit-pick, but this really should read as '3 or more days after the start of incubation" and even then it requires a practiced eye.

I personally depends on size of cage will give them two breeding boxes let them choose 1 then take other out..

Still having a problem,the hen layed the second egg in the cane nest i provided but today she layed another egg on the floor,also they seem to be now building another nest over the to off the eggs.Not sure whats going on...

i have had this happen before just take the egg out and they will try again

And dont forget to check the calcium /D3 is on hand for her , every egg she lays depletes calcium stores and she is only a little bugger after all. :D
