Got them today and the Goldfinches are already Courting! "Courtship display involves disputes between males, or males and females. These disputes occur in flight and are accompanied by guttural sounds." Is explained as being the first part of it, and that is what they have been doing!

Hello Nrg,
Why did you decide to get gold finches I don’t remember them ever being on your wish list? and where did you buy them from?. I see you got yourself a pair of scarlet chested parrots didn’t you say never to mix hook bills with finches? or any type of straight bill?. Oh and do you still wont the male cordon blue?.
Thanks Nathan

They weren't on my plan, but my Step-father wanted something that could sing, and my brother wanted Goldfinches, so I grabbed a pair from a pet shop near Ace Colony (Ace Colony was disappointing, They didn't have anything I was after, and I left with nothing but Wormout gel, but a pet shop had everything I was after, and cheaper aswell).
With the Scarlet-chested Parrots, I never said that you couldn't mix parrots with finches, only that mixing Red-rumps and Cockatiels isn't a very good idea, most of the Neophema genus is considered fine to be kept with finches and softbills, and the Scarlet-chested Parrot (along with a few others) is a Neophema!
I'm still down with buying your male Cordon Bleu, do we want to settle the details more in PMs?
Nathan!

Nrg,
Ok send me a pm and we can decide on the details. And the pet shop that you were after wouldn’t happen to be Birdsville would it?.
Thanks Nathan

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
