Saw an add online (online section of the quokka) for a couple of black rumped double bars for sale. Have a few others so want to try and get a breeding colony of them going. Naturally, punched the number into my phone and it popped up with a name!! Sure enough, it was a bloke I used to play cricket with, and used to chat to about all our birds while we were sitting on the boundary after getting out cheaply  so, going to pick up the birds this arvo, and will hopefully have another recruit to the forum...

Well done on getting them. Thought you were going to say Perth is so small that you sold them to him in the first place! for those familiar with the movie 6 degrees of separation, I think Perth is often 1 or 2 degrees.

 yeah sorry. spring hasn't sprung yet, don't worry, it should be a good season for me given activity levels already!! 3 nests of normal (white rumped) double bars already, 2 fledged yesterday, 1 underdone little thing jumped out to join them from another nest and some still incubating. so that's in theory 3 unrelated young pairs all getting in good form!
