Heat lamps require considerable enerygy (since consumed energy = heat as a waste product, Year 7 science if you'd been listening back then). Solar / battery are suitable only for low powered devices. All the solar does is charge a battery.

Your only hope would be massive solar cells, some AGM batteries and an inverter. There goes that eclectus out the window :clap: . Think $2-3K and you should pick up a set.

Its almost spring Nathan . Is it worth the $$$$$.

Its also not the initial cost of setting up the heater its the ongoing cost of running it but if you have the finances then go for it ...
