Forbes sale was great . Small sale , nice people and best of all I finally got my pure normal Princess's.
A male Scarlet for my girl and other half got an white Red Rump for his normal boy .

Took 7 parrots and sold 5 plus one of the display boxes went as well so overall a great day and didn't break the budget too much .

Very happy , very tired

No pics , no time twas a bit hectic and then bu the time things settled there wasn't much left .

Overheard fella dobbing me in for buying before the sale opened ...is a verbal" Ill take them see you at 10 " a transaction ? I think not .

Anyhoo nothing was getting between these Princess's and me .

Good to see you had a great day out Deb.Always hard to get photos when selling but a report is the next best thing  One thing that will never stop is pre selling before a sale.Unless sellers are removed as soon as birds are tabled.Personally I think a deal here and there before the official sale time, is some sort of compensation for days of sorting, hours of catching up birds and preparing boxes. And not to mention the extra expense of travel selling table fees and selling aids etc.. :shh:

Pre selling is frowned upon by organisers but what they forget is sellers buy birds too. These over zealous organisers just don't understand if the sellers don't deal before the sale when do they get a chance to buy. I would like to see their faces if the sellers turned their cages around and went and did their deals first.
I must admit that I don't like pre selling to non sellers and I hate it when dealers come up and want to take all the better breeds and expect to buy them at a discount rate
I wanted to go to Forbes but I had to go away so now it looks like Wagga in a couple of weeks.

Eorix we were opposite a bird dealer . I wasn't real impressed with it much myself .

He was onto everyone , leaving his wife to sell his birds while he literally ran around scooping up birds . He was actually annoyed that I got the Princess pair .

At the end of the day he was buying anyones birds ...as soon as the marker pen came out to reduce the amounts on the tickets he was there .

Probably should have reduced mine but my stubborn streak kicked in and I left earlier with my 2 remaining birds in tow.

Anyhoo now I know his face I will endeavor to not set up near him again.

Apart from that and the dobber everyone was cheery and up for a chat ...quite enjoyed it .
