My birds
finches have been a bit of a problem for me over the last 2 or so years
however i do still have one pair of yellow painted fire tails and hoping to
grow my finch collection back again.

i have something like 11 or 12 aviaries or so, i have lost count.
birds ranging from red rumps to princess parrots , scarlet chested to Bourke's,
and one or two lorries .

Welcome big dave and congrats on being the forum's 1000th member.
we will try to encourage your finch flock to multiply and dominate those hookbills of yours
11 or 12 aviaries seems like room for more species to me.
their are a number of forum members popping up in north-west nsw, so i hope we can assist each other to promote our addiction....
good luck with the 1000th member prize....i didnt know we were that financial

Welcome, Dave.
I've been a member for a week and can't get enough of it: such a tremendous amount of info here, and apparently happy people with wonderful attitudes (must be a side effect of finch keeping).
I have some spare BFPFs, as it happens, though 6 aren't coloured up yet.
I also have some spare orange-breasted waxbills, mannikins, canaries and king quail.
If I come out West in the next little while I'll let you know.
Similarly, if you're in southeastern NSW you could pick some up.
..and congrats on the prize!

Welcome to the forum. And yes obviously enough room, with that many avairys, for more finches. If the prize was finches we would have all been signing on 10 times. :silent:

No worries, Big Dave.
Hoping to get out west in coming school hols with kids; likely to go to Gulargambone to visit missus' schoolmate then go exploring/camping....
Have a request from kids to visit Western Plains zoo.

Where are you? PM me if you don't want to advertise your address.

I'll let you know if/when I'm coming as soon as I know.
Alternatively, if you or someone you would trust with a wee box of birdies comes within cooee of the Southern Tablelands soon, let me know.
