Yes Di,
Thanks for the link, I looked every where for a pic of a male not in colour. The third pic looks like he has fluffy Ugg boots on but the eight pic is the one in eclipse plumage that I think Desertbirds photographed. Also compare the beak and leg colour of the hen in the next shot.

I believe now that the pic is a Western Gerygone. Thanks for the replies and sorry for the long winded answer.

Nuh, I still stick with eclipse plumage White-winged Fairy Wren, Gerygone doesn't look correct to me. Where is the reddish/brown eye that the Gerygone should have?

From the photos I tend to think Tintola may be right. The Gerygone has a distinct whitish eye ring/brow altogether lacking on DB's photo. The similarity to the non-breeding wren is also hard to rule out.

Certainly lacks the jizz of a Gerygone. I'm with Tintola
