Tend to agree with the rest of meembers on here... Cordons do not like fingers or you close to their nest....and feed them same time twice daily for their treats for rearing young...lebanese cucumber, egg and biscuit, sprouted seed and live food.....

Keep trying only swap to termites if you can feed all the time, feed live food same time every day (at least twice), i now have no trouble with breeding cordons on mealworms and maggots, took a long time but after many disappointments i now have 3 pair going well and don't play with the nest, they also like extra red panicum. Hope there next nest is a winner Good luck.

If you really want to bring up the numbers, I suggest you give fostering a try. It is truly sad to hear you have lost so many fertile eggs.

Well, thanks for the advice everybody. Yesterday, I finally fledged two baby cordons. Out of the nest on day 18, but never the less, they're out and flying.

Cheers!
