Don't know what the first one is, but not bad looking. Yes DB it is nice to see a nice normal bird occassionally.

I shouldnt do that and i must admit that i love the blues, reds, silvers, and most multi combos.i just have to give this little bird credit for getting most of us interested in finches. They are amazing.Sorry for hijacking another post

Wow what beautiful humble birds they are. If it weren't for them I probably wouldn't have an interest in fiches in the first place. So glad I do!!

Thats good. That means I've never bred a bad red hen as I would never have recognised it.AMCA26 wrote:Be a poorly coloured red hen Danny. I had grey reds and had some that were very faint on the cheek patch for hens.

Yeah Danny, all Reds i believe should have a cheek patch but i have never seen any as dark as a cock bird. Always lighter.

Hi Everyone,
Just a couple of comments.
Do you have any idea as to the colour of the parents? You mentioned that Red or Orange coloured Zebras were involved, but are they Grey, Fawn etc.
From the photos this birds would seem to be a Grey Form Isabel Hen.
Chainsaw may like to comment.
