Just wondering if any one has given milliepedes to there birds as live food. I have been watching the yellow rumped thornbills eating them in last few weeks and as we have plenty of them around here at the moment . So I was just wondering what everones opinion would be ...Pete

Got millions around here too. I thought they were supposed to have a nasty taste to them, so nothing much ate them...

Rosemary Hutton rates them as one of the best things you can give softbills....

I checked my book, she says that they are happily taken but doesn't mention their food value.

I put afew in some went missing , I wouldnt make them as an everday thing just every now and then, as the nutritional value is unknown as nothing beats a balanced diet....pete
