Was watching a program on Foxtel last night. Its about the parasites people pick up these days due to travel overseas and the health implications to the host.
When the treatments where discussed by the doctors they mentioned the use of praziquantel several times. They also mentioned that the side effects can be really bad. One guy, a returned USA solider, said he was in agony with stomach pains after taking the praziquantel, also gave him hallucinations.
Felt sorry for the birds after hearing that, hopefully the dosage we give the birds doesn't affect them in that way.

Apparently it's influenced by how much lettuce you give them at the same time :lol: :lol: :lol:

Sounds more like overpresciption/dosing, apparently quite common in the US. The second anti-inflamitory I was on was taken off the market due to people in the US taking/ prescribed 2 to 3 times the manufacturers recommended dose, & it affecting their livers & kidneys.
