Just returned from a termite hunting expedition. On the way back up the gorge I've come round a corner and there's a tree fallen over the road. I've had to brake damn hard to stop in time and the two garbage bins full of termites have gone over. I couldn't bear to look, so ignored the problem while another bloke and I drag the tree out of the way. When I get home I drive straight to the barn - too scared to go up to the house. The back of the 4WD is absolutely covered in termites. They're all over the back of the reat seat and even up on the rear windows. So I've spent the last half hour sweeping them up, but it seems impossible to get them all - there's millions of them and they're everywhere. I'm still trying to work out the best way to tell (or not to tell?) my dearly beloved (who just loves her flash Jeep).

I know a good pest inspector, he could spray your car.

I hope your car doesn't have any wood panelling in it.

Oh dear Sam . Well Im afraid you are going to have to suck em up mate , fess up ,take your punishment then set about de termiting the car .

A bomb and then a good vacuum hopefully will see things right with the vehicle and maybe a box of chocs or some flowers for Mrs Sam .

Good luck with both .

I would park the 4x4 in the garage with doors open and through a few bombs in the garage and get up early and clean the 4x4 and hope for the best, but women always seem to know when their other half is hiding something so might be the best just to let her know.

Thanks for the support (not). Sun's up now and I'm still alive, so all's good! I fessed up, initially not real impressed but then we had a good laugh. She even let her best mate Dyson come out to help clean up. Dyson did a great job, so Jeep is happy, wife is happy, harmony restored! And I just emptied Dyson into an aviary so the finches are happy too!
