How to present Green Food?

I do have a station to prepare green food for my chooks, but so far my birds won't take anything that isn't seed. How do you guys present food for your birds?

I've been mixing very finely chopped leafy greens and smashed frozen peas (they don't smash if they're thawed - they just go Spluvgvfd XD) and feeding it in a peanut butter lid with my sprouted seed

I found that my gouldians, zebras and now ruddies luv Bok Choy / Pak Choy / small amounts of spinach and also hydroponic lettuce. I basically have a couple of stone pots that I half fill with water and place the whole plants into the water so they are standing upright. The plants look like christmas trees from the colour of birds within seconds of placement.

I have found that they prefer the veges that are roadside farm stalls rather than store bought. I am thinking that the birds know that fresh is best and refrigerated age unknown is second rate.

Mine are all different ...the finches like it shredded a bit and on top of the seed . The Princess's eat it out of my hand and will devour it wherever I put it then I have some Red Rumps that only eat it if its squished through the wire and the Quarrions like it on the ground the rest are happy for it served up in their bowls with the other goodies .
Oh the Corella doesn't trust that Ive washed it and will eat it after she dips it in the water bowl /

Hmm… I have never really had that problem before. Most of my zebra finches get in there quick and fast, and then they make all the other birds curious too

I used to have very picky birds, so I pinned up the vegetables everywhere, that didn't work, so I just cut it up, and mixed it with things they enjoy. I have heard of some suggestions where you wash the vegetables, serve them up still wet with the moisture, and take away the water bowls for an hour or so. This way the birds will be thirsty, and hopefully chew on the vegetables trying to get the moisture. Once they taste the veggies, they are hooked.

But I have never needed to try it! Good luck!
