I have a male painted finch, we are keeping him inside in a large cage at the mo' with his girlfriend. They have grit, and natural branches, but his beak is quite overgrown (I haven't been able to see him for 2 weeks) and his beak is also starting to cross over :(
He is definitely going to the vet, but is there anything we can do to prevent this happening in the future?

Cuttlebone, as they chew it that will keep the beak in line.
