hi all,
We have just acquired a pied orange breast cock at work.
Here's some pictures of him and other assorted happenings :)
(and no, unfortunately he's not for sale :P )

How old is it?? I'd put my money on it moulting out still. It has that diffuse blended white, at the base of the feathers that we see with 'amino acid' deficiency rather that the crisp white of a true pied with individually, fully white feathers.

Never ever be afraid to do whats right if the well being of an animal is at stake.

 deb yeah but the bastards are too quick XD
Danny, I'm not sure how old the bird is. We bought it about about a week ago now, maybe 5 days. You're most probably right, but I thought I'd post it just in case :P
I love the pied ruddies :D but I still think it's hard for any mutation of any species to surpass the real thing... with the exception of blue princesses, blue lineolateds and blue green tree frogs :P

They aren't actually a mutation as such but a captivity induced colour change. It is suspected that it is dietary in nature. There are true blue frog mutations but the GTF does this quite commonly with no genetic connection - most start green.
