They come in 20 to 25 kg bags for the canary and millets and 15 kg for the sunflower.I store most in 200l drums and the rest in 60l drums.I use about 20 plus kilos a week also do winnow it untill the quality starts to diminish.

If the seed is from Max Douglas at Leeton it is very good seed and I have been buying my seed from him for over 10 years
A pallet load is normally a tone which is 50 bags but a couple more can be thrown on.
I use his Budgie mix during breeding season as it has a higher Canary seed percentage and the Finch Mix during winter as it has a few oil seeds in it and little Canary Seed. I also feed out his Red Pannicum seperately as well, this is the only single seed a buy.
All my seed is taken out of the bags a soon as it arrives and stored in old domestic chest freezers which are totally mouse proof.
If a few can get together and buy in bulk it is far cheaper and your seed purchases are more frequent so the seed is not sitting there for ages getting stale

E Orix It must be a real sight watching you getting the last of the seed from off the bottom of the chest freezers. LOL. Now that would make a good photo shot.
A lot of parrot breeders in the Riverina/MIA area also buy bulk seed from Max.

I think it must be time for you to move on up North
