Would it be better to breed Canarys in my avairy or are cabinets better,in the avairy are 3 Gouldians,2 Male Zebs,1 Socity finch .

Both ways have there ups and downs and every bird and situation is different ...my advice would be to try it in both cabinets and aviary and see which produces the best results .
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Hi Harvey,
they should be fine in the aviary however just remember that Canarys can really dominate and hog the food bowls/trays.
Also, their diet has slightly different requirements, and while canary seed is good for Canarys, too much can make Gouldians fat!

One of the reasons I breed my canaries in cabinets is to make sure each pair has access to the egg and biscuit without the zebs eating it all. Also the zebs will take all the hessian nesting material even from the nests if they get an oportunity.
