Minimum distance

There's so much seeding grass growing around here! Unfortunately it's almost all near the road so what's the mInimum distance from the road it's safe to collect?

Most mothers will tell you not to play on the road .
I was told to play on the white lines of the highway .... that's not funny.

Anyhoo I dont like picking near a road in case the sprayers have been along poisoning weeds , I know cars run on unleaded fuel these days but I'm sure they emit something funky that you wouldn't want your birds ingesting .

Guess you need to know the road ...how much traffic and if it gets sprayed and then take it from there .

Anything that has been sprayed will be pink or dying or both.
Highways are bad news but anything else is probably fine.
The milk thistle and chickweed are finshing but the Phalaris is on and the helicopter grass is imminent.

Jay, you could try asking your local council/shire what areas have and have not been sprayed

Won't even pick stuff in the front half of my front yard because of the exhaust of passing vehicles.
