A little after 6 this morning, I found six lifeless quail chicks.
They hatched yesterday, and had apparently been frightened in the night, as they had scattered in various directions from the nest.

They were cold, so I brought them in to warm them.

The kids were fascinated, watching them twitch, then breathe, then open their eyes.

When they were able to cheep we gave them some spark,
...and a bit of Spark....JPG
and within half an hour they were following their Mum around again (bar one who was quietly put down as it was injured).

Yes very nice to see the kids taking such an interest in them. Now do you realise that as the kids brought these babies back to life those particular quail may become permanent residents!

Well done, it is a nice feeling when you can bring them back to life as it were. :-) The kids did a great job too!
