Mack sounds like your cock is firing blanks if she is laying OK. Either that or she does not like the look of him. :silent:

Just because the hen lays eggs doesnt mean she is the fertile partner in the pair, sorry FB but i always like to state the obvious.

Gday AMCA I bought mine March last year at our Perth Finch auction, Female Creamino and split cock, they have bonded well and have made one nest which looks like they had laid 2 or 3 batches of eggs. I left them and when I came back from Europe I decided to pull the nest apart there were many eggs..all clear. I remember they were sitting tight all the time. They have gone back down again recently, if they dont do any good Ill wait until I can find another pair, they arent so common around here dont see them up for sale at all. I havent had Longtails since I was a lad :)

I will see if anything hatches by Christmas, if not Ill rest a rifle up against the aviary door,... :)
Ill get another pair next year and see if I cant mix them up? Come to think of it im not entirely sure I have a pair, the Bib on the normal is notably larger than the bib on the Creamino.
