If you download the Carlos Matos Gouldian Genetic Forecaster that gives a pic of the expected youngsters

If Euro Yellow, we need more maths...

1 x split Euro Yellow + 1 x split Blue = Too many variations to list! Some pure Normal, some appearing Normal but carrying Blue, some light green males (SF) and some yellow females (SF), some of which may also be carrying Blue.

Gouldian Genetic Forecaster is great but unfortunatley does not do Australian Yellow. It only does European Yellow (=Pastel).

I'm with Finchy. The site you put the link to is one of the best for a begginer with Euro yellows as it explains that SF yellow cocks are in fact pale green and DF yellow cocks are yellow. No wonder people get confused. But the lack of sites with the same pictorial explanation of Aust yellows is frustrating for a "muddle head" like me. And the lack of explainations of which yellow gets the white spot and how come and is it on hens and cocks or just hens and ....................ahhh.

Second pic is a Single Factor Green (= SF Euro Yellow) ...or maaaaybe Double Factor...White Breast cock. It's not split. "Split" means that it's carrying a recessive gene but not displaying it.

Third pic is a Single Factor Green (= SF Euro Yellow) Purple Breast cock.

Euro Yellow looks more yellow on white breasted birds than on green, just to really confuse :nosey:

As was told to me that they were split due to not being pure yellow such as what he keeps, that's why I'm getting confused and have only ever bred normals. So the Green back is classified as a normal and will this throw any yellow backs if paired up to a yellow back hen.

Photo 2 is a SF YB, he has the blue ring around neck / head, in a DF this would be white. WB makes the green go lighter for some reason.
