I have inside pet parrots (mainly rescues so might or might not be handraised although I know at least two are lol) a galah, a rainbow lorikeet(definitely HR), a princess parrot and 3 cockatiels (at least one HR) all of them are tame though
Yes my lounge room is insanity most of the time

Nathan, one of the great things about AFF is the way it has tolerated and assisted you when asking lots of questions about topics that aren't really AFF topics. Many of us keep or have kept a variety of birds over the years and so we can usually be of **some** help, but very often the expertise you seek is not to be found here. This could well be one of those cases.
Try the following, all of these found with a quick Google search "parrot forum":
Parrot Society of Australia http://forum.parrotsociety.org.au/index.php
Parrot Forum http://theparrotforum.com/
Featherz http://featherz.proboards.com/index.cgi.
BirdBoard http://www.birdboard.com/forum/forum.php
Of course, you are welcome here, I'm not suggesting that - but maybe asking the "right" people may bring you more success.

natamambo ,
Deb knows what she is talking about. And I am a member of alot of those forums an the are unactive forums and no one posts anything on them or answers my posts so I talk here. And Deb & Maz give me good advice on how to train my pet parrot so why not?.
Regards Nathan

Yes there are people more able to answer Nathans questions .
I can only advise from my expriences , never claimed to be a pet psych .
If thats not "right" then I apologise ...actually no I dont .
Those other forums run very slow at times and can be frustrating .
Nathan the best articles Ive found are on the Parrot Rescue Centres web page , they deal with really messed up birds and bring tham back to reasonable normality .
And really apart from positive reinforcement and lots of quality time I cant think of any thing else to suggest .
Very good putting him back for biting , these birds hate being ignored so a time out is the best .
Thats all ...

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Always good to compare oppinions. Deb, as you say Nathan, is a very nice helpful person.
I know nothing about any of the forums listed by natambo, but a quick look made the 2nd one on the list look worth while for a 2nd oppinion. And if everytime you give your girl a nine nut she drops it so you pick it up and give it to her again, it sounds like she thinks this is a game. So maybe it is working as a reward. Just in the form of a game not a food reward.
