Today i found that my Gouldians have babies, dad an i had a look today and we could see 4 babies. The nest they picked is is hard to see in, there is a little opening on top for us the check in.I could not see any eggs so looks like they were all fertile.
I boiled up some egg for them and tomorrow i will get some green seed heads.

Congratulations. Greens every day increasing the quantity as the babies grow. Inspections weekly or if you don't hear them for a couple of days.

Thanks everyone.

This is the first babies in my avairy,i never planned to breed finches in the avairy because its only small.
I had been watching the Goulds in the avairy so i had a fair idea there might be eggs in there.
Sometimes i do check the nests(cabinets) a bit much but because its in the avairy and the nest is hard to check i left them alone and got a good result..

I think i have the right balance of birds in my avairy now because they are all breeding,i have 2 pair of CFW Zebras on eggs,1 Canary that i bred and 2 king Quail that keep the floor tidy..

Off to get green seeds tomorrow
