Okay, I can tell you all that one of the Double Bars in the nest and has laid an egg....which means...there was a hen!
I'll attempt to build this up like the announcement of an academy award...and the winner is...
The Double Bar on the right hand side of the photo! Am I any wiser now about sexing Double Bars...NO!
Thanls to all who had a crack at it and thanks especially Murf to who accepted the challenge and invited others to have a go.
Can someone tell the sexes of these Double Bars?

I've got to admit that this was the best feedback I received to this post. Even though I watch the female go into the nest everyday...I still can't tell the difference when the pair are away from the aviary! It is indeed the million dollar question!!!Buzzard-1 wrote:Yes well that's the million dollar question, hard enough to sex live little own a photo!!!!Could have a go but fair chance I'd be wrong.

Hi cookey when I breed my double bar the only way I found to sex them was to look at the chest colour and I find the female has a dirty chest colour where the male has a clean chest,in that picture you put up it seem to me that you have female on the left and two male on the right that the only way I learn't to sex them.

Thanks Tino. I'm rying to develop my skill in that area. I do notice a subtle difference between the chest colour but I can only see it when the two are side by side. Cheers.
