I use a 2lt soft drink bottle which i cut in half ,on the lid end i drill a hole in the lid and put fly screen over the hole

In the other half i drill small holes in the bottom so the water can drain out
IMG_9569.JPG
Soak seed for about 12 hours , then i put the lid end inside the bottom end and put the soaked seed in and put something over the top
make sure the lid is above the water in the bottom when the water has drained

Every now and then fill up with water and let it drain don't add anything just water after 24 hours Sprouted Seed

I have tried like, a dozen times to sprout seed - each time to no avail. The seed ends up a bit smelly, which i didnt think was right, so i didnt feed to my birds. Are you using hot water or cold water ? After viewing your pics, i might give your way a try.

Interesting seeing how others do it.
I sprout a heap at once (enough to last me a month or so) and freeze it. I use VirkonS and don't rinse at all. Similar to the Fidler method but I do heaps more at once and I drain/sprout it by hanging up over the sink wrapped in flyscreen. Next time I do some I'll try to remember to take some pics.

I use the Fidler/Virkon S method too, but just strain it out briefly with a fine-meshed collander, put the lot into a v. large bowl & stir twice a day until chitting then straight into the freezer.
