Hey, I'm more than happy to be proved wrong. Was just passing on the info I was given 12 months ago by a well known breeder 12 months ago when I decided to add Gouldian mutations to my collection....

Maybe you should of mentioned that in your original post Nat so breeders can come to their own conclusions, I also breed euro df to euro hen with no problems. :thumbup:

Flap there are a few for sale in the quokka plus this weeks paper coming out on Thurs morning, usually heaps around this time of year.
I would put her to a dilute myself. :wave:

If putting DFcock to YBhen used to produce high mortality rates, but no longer does. It sounds like there never was a lethal gene. Just a weak gene. Because if something is lethal it remains so. But if something is weak it can be strengthened by putting strong genes in. One of the reasons I have for not being afraid of inbreeding. Just cautious of it.
