dont be trying to dob me in for anything to do with genetics :? , I was lost as soon as I opened this topic  .
only thing I can do is provide links to genetic forecasters. and all I do with my goulds is put them in the aviary & wait to see what colours turn up at first moult. have split them now though, rh in one aviary & bh in the other

haha I think genetics are the best part of having birds trying to get what you like best ect.

I found a old book on lovebird genetics other day apparently they have 150 mutations !

I also like breeding mutations, but find some of the recessive and sex linked stuff does my head in. So it's great to have a mother who is a wizz with genetics cause she has been breeding show budgies for over 40 years. When I get really confused I go over there and present the problem to her. :D
And as we are both trying to get somewhere with the gouldian mutations, it's a puzzle, we can work on together.

Might be pushing our luck there Mick. She thinks computors take up time she could spend in the budgie aviarys or bowling, so only goes online occassionally to read/give advice on rare budgie forum. 50yrs breeding budgies makes her pretty popular with those guys, cause of her genetic knowledge too.
