Normal pair I reckon. Desertbirds has shown pics of birds with the same thing in the wild, where there aren't any mutations. Sorry mate, just normal zebs.

Harvey, you have been put in touch with a nearby expert. If you're that keen (a) make contact with that person - then (b) exhibit a little patience to fit in with that person's movements - then (c) catch the bird up and travel to that person, after all they are doing you a favour by looking at the bird so you'll need to make it easy for them.

I have taken birds to other breeders for a look-see on more than one occasion, it's always a great opportunity to look at how other successful breeders have set up as well.

Get an experts opinion Harvey. If i plucked one hen from a flock of a thousand zebs out here that had a dark beak , dark cheek patches and black breast feathers would everyone say "thats a normal grey hen " ? Its not a NORMAL GREY HEN. Its probably not a black cheek either but black fronted zebs, charcoal zebs probably all started with a slighty darker bird or birds that presented with a few extra feathers that were darker or black.
