Is it toxic ton finches?

basil didnt cause any problems for my birds.
my birds have had most herbs available to them.
they ate a little of which ever was their choice for the day.
only herb I never found any signs/evidnce of being eaten was rosemary.
going by the decorations the birds left on the rosemary it wasnt for eating, more like a toilet bush
