Thanks for that. I'll meet Jayburd at the Canberra Finch Club meeting next week, so I'll follow his lead.

If you are referring to the Orange Sale and the pictures of it.What you saw was only part of one section, there are two
other sections to walk through as well.

The WA Finch Society auction used to have a good number of birds, 4 times a year. Some auctions would have 400+ lots. Other times around 200. Haven't been in a number of years though. Went to the Avicultural Society open day a while back, and was very disappointed. I myself could have almost benched more finches than there were for sale there. Did pick up some nice birds though, and had a bit of a chat with a few from the forum. Closest thing I've come to one of the big sales. Hopefully (with all the new member from Perth on the forum at least) there'll be enough of us breeding finches to open a new sale in a decade or so???

Oh, and my tip? Take the amount of cash you plan on spending, double it, then add a bit more for luck   I had to raid my partners purse to pay for a couple of birds...

Hey cookey,
I just remembered, I don't think there is a meeting this month. Sorry! Completely forgot.
I'm happy to meet up some Other time?
