iv just posted some ads on some bird pages on facebook to try and get a few more people interested, so the likely situation will be 2 kgs worth of french white millet will be around 17-18 dollars? ( 1 container )

so for example if i want 10 containers ( 20 kgs of green seed ) i send 180 dollars to your bank account, then you wait for everyone else to send their payments and quantity, once you receive everyones money that covers the half pallet you then send the order???


and when it comes to pick up in port melbourne it all has to be picked up on the day it arrives? i assume it will be a weekday it will arrive?

That's great news about the potential of more breeders outside the AFF getting involved....feel free to give out my mobile (0419 121 194) if there are any questions you cannot answer.

Depending on volume ordered we should be able to get the seed (including freight) for about $17/18 per 2 kg packet. The logistical chain will be as follows:
- Lowood avairies drops off the seed at the freighter's Qld depot (in Brisbane)
- Freighted via refridgeraged freight to Port Melbourne
- Stored in Port Melbourne until we are ready for delivery to my place (Thornbury)
- Everyone pick up their seed from my place at specified time on a Saturday ....I can have the storeage group deliver from Port Melbourne to Thornbury on a Saturday which i assume would work best for everyone.

I will wait until everyone has confirmed quantaties and advise of the exact price (including freight)...once everyone has sent funds (presumable to me) I will confirm order and pay Lowood, freighting company and storage company....

This has been a bit of work to get to this stage, but I'm sure our birds will love us for it....and now that the contacts have been made we should be able to have access to this seed each year...

Hi All,

I now have a final orders totallying 200 containers...so the costs will be:
- Freight $400....this includes transport from Lowwod to Brisbane, freight from Brisbane to Melbourne, storage in Port Melbourne and freight from Port Melbourne to Thornbury
- Seed $3,705 made up of $16/container plus $4.50 for each eskie....each eskie contains 9 containers so we need 23 eskies
Total cost of $4105 which equates to $20.53 per container.....(I was aiming to keep the price near $10/kg so this has almost been achieved). I'm sorry this is a little higher than previously advised, however the freight/storeage costs are a bit more than I planned and I did not originally know about the cost of the eskies....however these could be used for storage so they are not a waste.

I have now place the order for 200 pkts with Lowood....as we did not place our order by the 19/12/11 we are not gauranteed delivery from this crop....however Ray Lowe was fairly confident that we will get our order in about 3 weeks time.

Once Ray confirms delivery of seed I will ask everyone to send me their money....no need to send money until delivery is gauranteed.

Please be aware that when I send out the request for money (in about 2-3 weeks time) I will need your payment within 24-48 hours so that I can pay all parties....unfortunately I'm not able to pay these costs upfront myself so I will need your payment first....I will PM each of the following people with my banking details once delivery is gauranteed:
