license query

So how does this work ?
If you have a bird that doesnt need a license in NSW and you move to Qld where the bird is licensed ? What happens then ?

Talking about Hooded Parrots here .

You get a licence in QLD. If i purchase birds that arent on licence interstate but they are on licence here i have to do the paper work as per normal. I believe in most states if you`re sending native birds interstate you need to do a movement notice.The birds may not be required to be on permit but the authorities still want to know whats happening.

Gday DB, mate as you probably know,to get birds into WA you need to have an import permit for natives and foreign birds wether on licience or not.I'm not sure what Queensland requires,Best to ring the department Cheers Craig
