gouldians one egg

hi guys just wondering if it is normal for a gouldian hen to only lay one egg. i think she laid it the day before yesterday but am not completely positive as i only checked the nest yesterday. they seem to be sitting on it and doing what they are maent to. also hen looks a bit stressed with her feathers puffed up a little. i dont think she is egg bound as she eats a LOT OF CUTTLE BONE EGG SHELLSand she has laid eggs before which where unfertile but i think that was the males wrong. although i could be wrong and she is egg bound. any body have any advice thanks luke

Hi Luke it can take a few days for them to lay there eggs, but you say she looks puffed up which doesn't sound good. I would be checking her to make sure that she is not egg bound
