Just wondering if anyone has experience of these entertainment/communication bundles and can point me in a good direction?
Ive currently got mobiles, internet and Foxtel all with different companies, don't have a landline at the moment.
Im doing some research myself, but havent come across anything that does mobile, internet and Foxtel, or mobile, landline, internet and Foxtel...yet
Tv, internet, mobile, foxtel packages

I think both telstra and Optus have packages that combine these things....I have Telstra with landline(no call charges),internet (500 GB) and a TBOX for $160 a month but you can add on mobiles and foxtel for a little more, I know optus also has some really good packages....your best bet would be o have a look on their websites get some details then ring whichever you want to go with and ask them to beat the competition.

Thanks maz, just been doing that, seems like Optus say we can have broadband, but they dont include Foxtel in their packages.
Telstra say we cant get ADSL or broadband in this area, but they do have a package that includes Foxtel.
Cant understand why Optus say yes and yet Telstra says no, its Telstra lines they would be using.
Probably why I got wireless broadband when we moved here:think:
Dont think anyone has what I was after. Roll on the NBN!

Foxtel = Foxtel
Mobiles = Otpus
Internet = Three
Ive checked with a few different places and I still cant get broadband here, which is why I went for wireless broadband when I first moved here. So that makes it pointless to get the internet/homephone/foxtel packages on offer. Companies seem to want to keep the mobiles as a separate thing.
Ive decided to leave things as they are for a couple of years, hopefully the NBN will make things better, if they ever get it done before the technology is out of date. All talk, no action

Di, is Foxtel in to your house via cable (ie not satellite)? If so then you should be able to get Telstra cable broadband (not ADSL, that's different). Telstra cable and Foxtel use the same cable into a building, for the "tel" in Foxtel = the "Tel" of their half owner Telstra. You need to go back to Telstra and ask the question again. Cable is much faster than ADSL in most circumstances too.
In general you can't get Optus cable and Telstra cable in the same area as Optus didn't put cables in everywhere (in Melb if you have above ground power you get Optus if you have below ground power you get Foxtel). ADSL is all about who has put the equipment in at the telephone exchange and I'm stunned that in this day and age Telstra claim you can't get ADSL in a major city, even smaller cities like Bendigo and Ballaarat have had it for close on 10 years. PM your house phone number and address if you're happy to do that and I'll do some digging for you, I used to work in that field.
Because of ownerships you cannot bundle Foxtel with anyone but Telstra.

No unfortunately we have satellite Foxtel.
We dont have a land line and haven't had one for about 5 years now.
I know my hubby is always going on about how they should get their act together to make it easier for the customers.natamambo wrote:the "tel" in Foxtel = the "Tel" of their half owner Telstra.

If you don't have a landline is there at least a phone line in to the building? Telstra may be assuming that you don't have ADSL access because you don't have a phone number. Is landline phone even available to the property? I know to some that is a silly question but if you are on a block in the sticks that's possible. It's starting to sound like it might be a location issue anyway, in which case bundling becomes irrelevant.

We did have a landline when we first moved here but after getting mobiles we discontinued the land line.
With all the confusion over what we can and cant get Im going to stay as we are for the time being. I have phones, internet and Foxtel and with crossed fingers all work well. When they can say yes you can get home phone, fast internet and foxtel all together from the same company then I will think about it again.
With the confusion re the reps its not wonder people dont like change...it always seems to make things worse.
If it aint broke, dont try to fix it!
