Painted Nest Boxes

In an aviary at home I have seperated 3 pairs of yh normal Gouldians, in this aviary I have put 8 nest boxes all at roughly the same height and all are similar dimensions - two of the boxes are painted white. These two boxes have both been chosen and both have 3 eggs laid so far, the third pair will not look at unpainted and are causing grief to laying hens with intrusions - simple solution is to paint more boxes - anyone else had this problem.Has anyone noticed that introducing a painted box increases interest in going to nest ???

As you said,paint them all,in saying that paint them with an interior acrylic paint as it drys in 30 minutes cheers Craig
