Hi all
Anyone bred melba's in cabinets or small cages before. I have mine in a 600 by 400 by 1m high cage and I think they have young ones. Only in small cage as the big cage is taking longer than I thought.

Not bred any Melba's in cages as we simply don't have the species here :(
Europeans do a lot of cage breeding and a 600 long cage is generally considered to be too small. Apart from canaries the minimum size for all breeds is considered to be 800 long. The height is of far less importance. I would far rather have a 1000 x 400 x 400 or even longer.

cheers, case

Hi Kimberley breeder
Termites are no probs, I live in Airlie beach nth qul. Only have to walk out the back door about 10m to start to find them.
