Forgot to ask when I was back home last time....I have seen a mainly white with some darker colouring Bird of Prey dive bombing into the johnson grass and for the life of me cannot work out what it was....I know we have white bellied fish eagles but this is way too far inland for them and besides that it was carrying a lot more white....anyone have any ideas? Cheers

Dont believe everything you read, and let us know if its a Letter Wing, there has been a bit of concern expressed over population numbers with this one. Good spot either way, and they are a good looking bird.

The only letter wing kites I have seen were near horsham in the early 90's. It was certainly in day light hours.

Letters hunt more at night but still move around during the day. Black letter M (or W depending on which direction you're looking) on underside of wing is the giveaway, black shouldered just have a grey tip under wing.
