When I got my first lot of Gouldian's, a few years back now, 3 pairs and they were all mature birds and they did nothing for about a year but eat  then for no reason I could fathom they all went to nest within a week of the first pair starting. So I guess yours will start when they are ready :)

I got my birds late Nov early Dec last year 3 pairs and 2 spare males, 5 nest boxes in different areas in the aviary. Had 3 babies flying around by end of March this year. I think I just struck lucky with the birds ready to begin breeding more or less straight away.
