Hi Gary,
I checked with an avian pathologist mate of mine and to his knowledge he has never dealth with glyphosate causing deaths in any avian species.
...doesn't mean there can't be a first time but at least it's not a well- known killer of birds and with the amount that is used in this country surely something would have come up by now.
Still, I would avoid feeding sprayed grasses wherever possible, but accidental exposure may not be a disaster.
Cheers

Used to use Gly with brush-off as a surfactant/extra....and blue dye...........seem to recall that the Gly had a half life, on contact with soil (clay particles) of about 3-4 days....which means its pretty much organic matter after 6 days....
Blue dye was better coz the local hippy commune thought that "pink" signified "poison"....but really, we found that all our staff, including me, were all red/green cololur blind to varying extents, and we all had trouble seeing the pink, so we gravitated to the blue, coz we could see it
..........All men are, to some extent, colour blind, so we dont all see the brilliant reds that chicks see
...........................The hippy's thought we were tops that we were using the "eco-friendly poison".......they told us that that they had done tests
.........what a farce
......no different to the entire enviro debate!
........May as well flush your vote down the toilet as to Vote for Bob Brown's Greens
