time for a birdkeepers worst word, patience. there are no guarantees on when they will breed. you just have to wait until they are ready. could be a week, a month or longer.

i hate waiting lol.

but what color do you think their off spring are going to be????

i had a female exactly like her and the offsprings came out like normal finches.(to me means

gray) but there son looks really light grey and the daughter is light too.

would u guys like to see pictures ?

The young pair do look lighter than the normal gray. Could possibly be a recessive dilute gene in there? I have dilutes popping up faily regularly in my stock which is why I am moving to breed my zebs in a more controlled environment. Started with just some nice zebs and aviary breeding, then started to pick pairs and seperate them into a different avairy, but due to time constraints wound up not getting the young out quick enough and woops in- breeding. Now i'm switching to cage breeding in cabinets, and I have more time. :D

thanks i wish i hade the space to breed in an aviary
but what i really want to learn is how to tame zebras.
