If it was outside I would lean towards a Butcher Bird or another avian preditor
It may have tried to pull it through the wire by the wing,a Rat would have eaten more most likely.

If it happened overnight it may well have been an owl as well. Lost a few birds that way a year or so ago, and have a couple of survivors minus a leg or wing.

If its from an outside predator, you could drape the aviary wire in netting or shadecloth, that should deter the predator as they wouldnt want to get caught up in it. Attach at the roof and stake it away from the base of the aviary remembering to cover the sides too so the predator cant get access to the wire at all. That will create a space between the wire and the net/shadecloth.

I would lean towards butcher bird
They usually take a leg or wing........that is if they dont rip the body from the head..
I lost many finches to these birds. I found up to 7 decapitated goldfinches one day ..well rather I found their heads wedges in the cage bars.
Watch butcher birds..they are very intelligent and often team up. I saw one scaring my birds to one end of the cage so the other could catch them.
