One of us is growing up. But the "yard dog" bit seems to be a complete flop.

Deb

You had better start the training soon, if you haven't already.

My 2 sons both have Staffies - Chopper and Rex, and whilst they are cute and energetic, often get called similar names to yours. #$@^*((^&$^().

Rex ate a new wooden kennel in one night, and he has realised that he can jump up on the table outside. That didn't last long.

Chopper is just a pain in the backside and always wants to sit on your foot so he isn't sitting on the ground.

I can say that they are both good guard dogs who like to hear their own bark. At least I know there won't be anyone jumping the fence.

Dont worry Canary as spoilt as he is he does have rules and does get into trouble .

He is a great dog to take places , doenst leave your side even without a leash .

The sitting on the foot thing is a Staffy thing , Nuggie does it and our old boy did it all his life .

My g/f bought a bully same time as we got Nuggie and having awful problems , the latest being a $800 spoiler for a car chewed to pieces

Anyhoo he gets better as he gets older and fits into this household nicely ..( not many would lol)

Have any current photos, jusdeb, as he is a cutie. It is a shame what has happened to them in USA, as well as some of the other large breeds. Where I am from you have to have a special writer on your insurance of 150,000.00. They have to be kept in a kennel that has six foot high fencing, and that has to be inside a fence. They have to be muzzled when walked and attached to a heavy chain (log chain). Most insurance companies will cancel your home insurance, for owning one. Sis, as we were discussing my returning home, advised, they are trying to change the laws to be little more lax, but will include any dog, of any size that demonstrates aggressive behavior. They weren't bad to groom either, I would just have to have the owners bring them in on a slow day or after hours, in view of peoples fear.
A neighbor, once kept one for her grandson, and it got out the front door, grabbing the mailman's leg, another neighbor, ran out with a 38 and shot the the dog, the police finished it off, after they arrived.

Sorry about the loss of your other two.
