I am feeding my birds a great deal of mealworms at the moment due to breeding season. I know some survive in the aviary because the birds drop live ones all over the place and I have seen them under the substrate. I now notice I have some that have flown into the house for the first time, quite a few. Are they a problem if they get inside. Appreciate any advice

They don't usually fly Kenny. Wonder what you've got?

I am so grateful for the quick reply. Dumb Dumb Dumb (me) Looks like a mealworm beatle though but maybe a little slimmer but they are definitely flying-just squished one that hit the window. Who knows what they are up in the tropics. I will try and catch an unsquished one and take to the pest control place. Thanks again I had nightmares about an army of M/W beatles marching/flying into my house. BTW are they any problem for the birds in the aviary? I have a walkin maybe 11 meters long. I havent found any in nest boxes but definitely seen them on the floor. There isnt much info on the web about the beatles but plenty about the mealworms themselves.

Thanks again

If they are thinner they could be click-bugs. Hold one by the abdomen & see if it "clicks" its head to free itself.
