Hello All.

I am pleased to say, that after all my troubles (I cried on everyone's shoulder four to six weeks ago), I have now four young 'beautiful' two day old gouldians....

I hope that it's the start of better & better gouldians...

I am also proud to say that the hen, came from one of our members (who I would like to say, breeds great birds, and also I have started a great freindship"all thanks to Aussie Finch Forum)...SamDavis."'

I know that this sounds rather soppy, but I had tears, whenIi saw those gaping mouths, when I opened the nest box...Four weeks ago, I was questioning why, I had got back into birds...yesterday, made it worthwhile....

One cannot take the smile off my face....we opened a bottle of wine in celebration tonight....

I WAS ABLE TO GET SOME OF MY BIRDS TO BREED!!!

I'm so happy...

Cheers

Ripley,

Know how you feel, today had my first chick fledge for this season. After getting rid of over 50 eggs 2 or so weeks ago feeling OK. Still have 2 nests with 5 in each nearly ready to fledge plus a couple of nests with eggs. The best thing is found a couple of days ago my nemesis (Painteds) who are just about ready to jump ship. Feels good eh? Plus the Stars are now starting, go figure. If things start to go good for you suggest you start to buy the wine by the carton because if you celebrate each every hatching a carton wont be enough! Good luck!

Nothing better than hearing a batch of new chicks yelling to be fed.
