Sadly in this world you have to learn so much by experience bad and good.
The lessons you have picked up is buyer beware and check out the seller nearly as much as the bird.
Don't believe as Gospel what people tell you, think about it yourself.
Becareful of people using other peoples names as support for themselves. If they are good
enough their name should stand on its own.
You live in a very bird productive area with an exceptional club close by use it.
Finally don't buy any more birds off those people if you weren't satisfied.
Believe me there are quite alot of good people out there.

@E Orix, this is true, however, I do pesonally believe that there are some people that others just won't talk about let alone give a heads up about. Just want to add, I believe everyone serves a purpose, just as the first breeder I was warned about, and what I can say about them is they do fair enough to renew my fancy with gouldians.
I have to say to an extent, it uks me that Americans get a bad rap for lots, not just here on this forum but as to other issues as well. There are things here that quite frankly blow my mind, but then again, I have to remember the climate is totally differant than the states, and it is not much of an issue here.
In the states I have some 300 rhode island reds, and produce over two hundred eggs daily, but I DO NOT, medicate them for anything. I believe in cleanliness, good nutrition. I really enjoy the practices of Joel Salatin, author of pastured poltry profits.(

Nontheless, there was good reason to believe what the persons I made comment about, being on someone's coat tail.

This Forum is composed of completely normal people. Normal = No piece of paper to say they have been certified. (Why is the man in the white coat watching me?)

Good on all you lovely normal people.
