do red rumps have a destructive nature? and the red rumps are in a cage that is bigger then the small aviary and me and haydn92 did not put our birds together and since I have finished school I have alot of time on my hands

yes they are destructive to the aviary (and any plants therein)

Got a bite like a pitbull too for such a small bird .... rescued one years ago :roll:

nope, bourkes are good. Red rumps destructive, nasty buggers. pretty though.

Redrumps are also aggressive toward each other, and should be kept 1 pair per aviary with no other birds.

Keep your finches and quail in one avairy and your parrots in another. Do not mix parrots with finches in anything under 10 x 10 as already stated. Enjoy what you have and learn with them. Then after 6/12 months of learning, build another avairy and get something else. I know it is hard to not buy something you really like. I have been keeping finches since before you were born, and the temptation to just buy is still strong at times. But I have resisted Jacarini's at $85/pair in the last week, amongst others. So like all good addicts I am proud of my resistance. :lol: (Sometimes we are like drunks and the finches are our bottle) Must not succum to the urge. :D
