Nope cockatiels can snap a leg of a finch easy , and finches will give Cockatiels night frights.
Best bet is to keep the finches on their own they are only tiny little birds and even though they are a hardy bird they are still fragile little things .

how big?
personally I wouldn't have them together in a 10x10, but that's just me.

..Seriously shanny it would be like putting a chihuaha in a cage with fighting pitbulls .. The finches will drive the bigger birds nuts interfering in the nest boxes , as they do and the quarrions will just lash out .
The quarrions will shred the finches nest just because they are parrots and it would be fun for them .
Finches are flighty and quarrions are buggers for night frights so in a bigger cage where they can get up more speed they can do serious damage smashing against the wire.
It s just not a good idea .

what are the parrots in currently?
really, if you didn't know the answer to the question you're asking now, you shouldn't have rushed into buying red rumps. Probably the most important thing of many things I've learned from everyone here is that I'm young, and I have a whole lifetime ahead of me! You are too, and you do too! I'm sure as a budding aviculturalist you'll one day have plenty of time and aviaries. so in the meantime, there's no rush.
I tried to convince Crazy Cuban of this, when he wanted to buy scarlets with nowhere to put them. Now he has to house them in a very small (1m square) aviary, at a BIG risk, even for docile parrots.
so don't feel rushed, and now you're stuck with some aggro parrots. I have heard of people who have housed stars & zebs with cockatiels, but it never ends well from what I know.
If you have any more backyard space, it's not too time consuming to either
a) build a small aviary for the grassies
b) or buy a small pre - made one off (for example) petlink.
this would solve your problem and also add another aviary to your collection (always a bonus

Shanny, mate, when I was a kid I had a number of aviaries and kept Red Rumps in with finches. I also had Cockateils with finches and at one time, a Crimson Rosella with the red rumps, quail and finches (Painteds, Masks, Longtails, Chestnuts, Stars, Blue faced parrot finches..........Oh, and a pair of Turquoise Parrots
It was an absolute disaster!....Death and carnage, ......and no breeding except for a few quail......Once I pulled the rosella and red rumps out, the finches started to survive AND I bred the Blue face, stars, Chestnuts, Longtails & Painteds....all within a few months.......and these were mostly legally wild-caught birds, ie, harder to breed than aviary bred for generations
And the other good bit was the red rumps bred also!
Build another avairy or sell the red rumps until you have more space, you'll be rewarded
