If you miss out let me know as one of the forum members has bred quite few and I will contact him on your behalf.
Also I dare say he would hold on to them for you until your super structure is completed.

that would be great Orix
apparently the hen at the sale had an overgrown beak and I would hazard a guess it's the same guy
if he could hold them that would be fantastic! much better for the birds, too
;)
Thanks again very much Orix!

well even if it's not, it is much better for me and more importantly the birds to find someone who either has very young chicks that have to grow up or can hold them until late april-early june when it is likely to be finished and operational.
so if the forum member is willing to hold them that would be very good.
The reason I thought it was the same guy is because he had little button quail for sale + he was going to gunnedah = high likelihood of being the same guy selling them there, especially with the difficulty friends of mine all over NSW and ACT have had trying to find some in the recent past.

as I said in my first post, P. Mandry keeps them and he lives just out of melbourne. not sure if he's bred them, in those aviaries it'd probably be killer to tell what's breeding, especially with chicks as tiny as a quails.
his adds are often up on petlink ;)
